Why is Tursa Group Different From Other IT Support and Business Process Outsourcing Companies?

In this video, John Leishman, CEO and owner of Tursa Group explains what makes their organization is different from other IT support and business process outsourcing companies.

Why is Tursa Group different from other IT support companies?

“The biggest difference, I think, is that we’re not married to Microsoft. We don’t view all the IT problems within an organization from a Microsoft lens. For example, in our own BPO organization, we do not use any Microsoft products anymore simply to force us to look at alternative solutions. Having said that, we’re experts in deploying Microsoft environments. We’ve been doing it for over 10 years and in business process outsourcing services to over 4000 companies around Canada and US.

We’re also a big proponent of simplified IT infrastructure. The advantage to the client is less support costs, less hardware costs, and a more reliable network. We’ve come across these small business networks where the previous IT company or the previous IT support person has put in say a cisco router and a managed switch and a small business owner and the company only has like 10 employees and they’re simply using the server as a file server. So the client gets charged for all these hardware and all these labor to set up and maintain this complicated network which really isn’t necessary.

We took on a client recently that had 17 virtual servers and a huge reliability issues. We now have them down to 4 servers and their network is simpler to maintain and more reliable. We still have some more work to do with them but in the next 3 or 4 months, we should have even further simplified their network.

What Sort of People or Roles Can Tursa Group Place For Companies?

John Leishman, CEO and owner of Tursa Group, a Business Process Outsourcing company, provides insights on the kind of roles that they can place for companies.

What kind of roles can Tursa Group place for companies?

“Any role that is not customer-facing or does not require on-site visits with clients. So, that’s a huge number of jobs. Like what I’ve mentioned in the previous videos, 50% of all jobs can be done via telecommuting. So, that could be project management, that could be engineering, that could be chartered accountant, that could be bookkeepers, social media help, public relations people, marketing people – there’s a whole broad spectrum of roles that can be placed with organizations.

And for any communication that is required with the client, video conferencing works in some cases and obviously in other cases it does not. But a lot of people are really getting comfortable these days with video conferencing and screen sharing and so on. If you’re a business owner and you look at your own organization, generally speaking, 50% of your jobs can be done remotely.”

Tursa Group Pricing Model

In the following video, John Leishman, CEO and Owner of Tursa Group explains in full detail their business process outsourcing pricing model.

Can you tell us about the Tursa Group’s pricing model?

“We put into place a minimum 90-day requirement for the business process outsourcing services. And the reason we do this is it’s really hard for a remote agent to prove their worth in less than 90 days. They have to understand the company’s unique systems, their unique requirements, the culture of the organization, and also the characters and the personalities of the other staff they are going to be working with.

After 90 days, the pricing is adjusted and some companies have actually opted just to go straight to hiring full time outsourced placements or remote agents.”

What Sort of Companies Use Business Process Outsourcing Services?

John Leishman, CEO and owner of Tursa Group, provides information on companies and organizations that use business process outsourcing services.

Let me start the discussion by saying 50% of all jobs can be done through telecommuting as published by the US government. Some examples of clients that utilize our BPO services, we have a hair salon for example who had very high turnover of their front end staff. And they spend a lot of time, about 24 hours I believe, training each staff member. So we actually found a mature remote agent in Mexico City and all the calls are answered by that person, all the scheduling was done, all the upselling was done on the different services offered by this high end salon. She also does some social media work and some operations for this client as well.

So, what happened was she got a high quality remote agent who is motivated to do the best that she could do and we help solve that problem for her. We also provided her with a VOIP system to enable the routing of calls to her remote agent in Mexico.

Another example would be we have a medical device company who’s on a very tight budget and we’ve placed a person to help them with customer service, customer complaints, order fulfillment, and operations and social media. And their remote agent is doing really well in their particular position.

Third example would be we have a client who’s sort of like a building environmental control company. They monitor the air quality of buildings. And we’ve placed a person with them to help again with operations, dispatching of technicians. They’re getting him to helping them with bookkeeping, some social media, a whole variety of different types of tasks.

And I guess the last example would be my company. You know, I’ve been using this business process outsourcing strategy for over four and a half years now. So all my bookkeeping, my financial recording, my helpdesk, my call center, my social media – everything that’s used to run my organization is done with remote staff down there. And incidentally, in terms of savings, I probably save over $15,000 a month in labor costs by employment strategy and my industry is incredibly competitive to cut through.
