What criteria to use when selecting Cloud software
Updated: Dec 5, 2018
Here is a simple list of criteria that software must have before we will consider recommending the software to our Customers.
1. Does the software have a Marketplace? This increases your chances of out of the box integrations and gives your company flexibility in your choice of CRM or Project management software. Google and Intuit both have robust marketplaces.
2. Does the software have a public Application Programming Interface (API)? A public API will allow you to enhance, add features or integrations that the software does not currently have. This increases your chances of having the perfect back office.
3. Does the software have longevity in the marketplace? Does it have a good customer base or is it just starting out? You need to work with a company that will be around for years to come.
4. Does the software company try to lock you into long multi year contracts? Your Companies needs might change in 12 -24 months, if you are locked into a contract, you are then less nimble to change as your Company changes.
